Tax Updates:
1. Central Govt. has issued Draft GST Rules on Accounts & Records, Appeals & Revision and Advance Ruling on April 19, 2017, making a total of 14 Draft Rules as on date.
2. MCA has issued Clarification regarding online generation of challans for offline payment cases vide Notification dated 20/04/2017.
3. MCA has constituted a high level committee of six members under the chairmanship of Meenakshi Datta Ghosh (retd. IAS) to review 'Misconduct' rules for CA, CS and CMA professionals.
4. MCA has revised the versions of e Form – Forms CHG-1, Form CHG-9, Form CHG - 4 and Form STK – 2 are being revised w.e.f. 22nd April 2017.
5. Govt. is considering scrapping Foreign Investment Promotion Board and considering doing away with prior government approval for investments in most sectors including single-brand retail.
6. ICAI issues Frequently Asked Questions on The Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 2016 and Companies Act 2013.
